The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, July 19 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will reason with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Also coming up, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will finally admit the truth to his wife. Plus, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) expects Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to keep up her end of the bargain. And Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will remind his daughter he’s calling the shots.
Y&R spoilers tease Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will spot Kyle standing close to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and will ask to speak with him alone. Once they’re seated, she’ll ask him to open his heart so they can get back what they lost. But he’ll say he can’t get past her betrayal. “It’s an interesting word choice, betrayal,” Summer will reply. “I guess to me betrayal is a conscious act. Intentionally hurting someone that you care about.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Phyllis Doesn’t Like Tucker’s Attitude
Kyle will ask what she’s implying and Summer will say she shared her truth with him, now it’s his turn. And after much prodding, he’ll eventually admit he slept with with Audra. “What a fool I’ve been, I was trying to fix it but you had already moved on and you didn’t even have the guts to tell me,” Summer will say. Then she’ll slap him and storm off.
At Society, Phyllis will stroll in and people will stare. She’ll tell Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) she’s drowning in shame and wants to fix what she broke. When Summer shows up, Phyllis will ask her what’s wrong. But she’ll change the subject. Then Tucker will walk in and Phyllis will nod at him. “What was that?” Daniel will ask.
After her son leaves, Phyllis will approach Tucker, but she won’t like his attitude. He’ll be angry that she doesn’t seem to be showing him any gratitude. “Carson hasn’t given his testimony yet and I can sway it,” he’ll remind Phyllis. “What are you doing to make Jack forgive you and what are you doing to get under Diane’s skin? What’s your plan?”
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will tell Adam his father is just testing him and he’s reacting like he always does. “Make a different choice, pass the test,” she’ll advise. “Imagine what we could do with Kirsten and Augustus together.” Sharon will add that if they become successful, it’ll prove they won’t need to be folded into Newman. “Think about how good it would feel to get real payback this time, by proving everybody wrong.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victor Is Proud Of Victoria
Meanwhile, Victor will meet with Nick and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and ask if they have any questions. “I’m completely on board,” Victoria will say. “And knowing that it knocked Adam down a few notches is a lovely bonus.” But Victor will say his plan is not against Adam, and it’s not for her. He’ll remind Victoria he’ll be calling the shots.
Nick will roll his eyes and tell Victoria of course she likes Victor’s plan, because it works to her advantage. But he has his doubts about it. “If Adam doesn’t want to go along with it and I’m not happy, what am I supposed to do with that?” he’ll ask Victor. After Nick departs, Victor will hug his daughter and tell her he’s proud of her.
Finally, Nick will run into Adam at the park and they’ll discuss Victor. Adam will point out Nick’s the one who just got his job taken away from him and given to Victoria’s new boyfriend. “You should be more furious than I am.” Nick will grin and say they can call it a close second. He’ll tell Adam he won’t turn McCall Unlimited around overnight just by changing its name. However, there’s potential, especially in merging it with Sharon’s company.
Adam will say they’ll be under Victor’s thumb again. But Nick will tell him if he leaves he’ll be on the outside again, playing the victim. “You’re right, we could waste time raging about the old man or we could just do this,” Adam will reply. “You, me and Sharon, working together.” Then Adam will put out his hand and they’ll shake on it.
